CAVEPS is the best conference in Australasia that brings together researchers on vertebrate evolution, palaeontology, and systematics. In 2025 the 19th CAVEPS will be held on Kaurna Yarta at Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia. This design features a selection of fossil creatures from the host state: the plesiosaur Umoonasaurus, flamingo Phoeniconotius, lungfish Metaceratodus, chimaeroid Ptyktoptychion, diprotodontid Ambulator and echidna Megalibgwilia.
