Crash bandicoot

This fossil species from middle Miocene deposits at the Riversleigh World Heritage Area appears to be close to the ancestry of many of our modern bandicoots. I’m hoping that someone will one day find more species of Crash. I’d like to see one named ‘Crash onamatescouch’.
