Daring fieldwork exploits?

During an excavation in north Queensland one of the dig crew asked what a Palorchestes was. An attending archaeologist replied that it was a huge marsupial with massive, powerful arms and immense curved claws. Because of this, if anyone called everyone into a group hug, they’d have to add “Not you, Palorchestes.” We all thought this quote was so amusing that we used it as our team name when we won the local pub trivia competition. After this we were concerned about the possibility of retribution from a rival trivia team of mining contractors, so we snuck out the back of the pub and escaped into the night. True story!
